And Hitchhikers' Guide does a much better job at making the insanity plausible. I'm not sure if it's just in how Mr Adams sells it, or if there's a more compelling warped logic behind it all. I read Last Chance to See recently, and he does environmental Serious Business very well too. I would say very entertainingly, but I'm not sure that's the right word for simultaneously funny and depressing. Checking up on what's happened in the couple of decades since it was published is bittersweet.
